A song based on Psalm 92…
http://www.christourlife.ca/Worship/Psalm%2092.mp3
1) It is good to give thanks to the LORD
And to sing praises to Your name
To declare of Your mercies in the morning
And Your faithfulness by night
With resounding music, upon the instruments
For You O Lord have made me glad
By what You’ve done
Chorus:
I will sing for joy at the works of Your hands
How great are Your works O LORD
Your enemies have been cast down
And You’ll reign forevermore
I will sing for joy at the works of Your hands
How great are Your works O LORD
How great are You LORD,
How great are Your works O LORD
2) The righteous man, he will flourish
He will grow like a cedar in the house of the LORD
In the courts of our God they’ll be full of life
To declare that the LORD is upright

As I ponder on this day of prayer, consuming and meditating on the word, praising, fasting, resting…
I praise God for His faithfulness. He is Holy and wonderful to give us the strength to get through trials and persecutions. I thank Him for the mercy of putting the idolatry of my past to death and giving me the grace to move onto obedience through suffering.
The experience that I have of laying down the old man and separating from the things of the world and from the flesh, is nothing compared to the glory that will be revealed in us, his saints.
Oh to be more like Him!
Oh to think more like Him!
Oh to speak more like Him!
Oh to walk more like Him!
Oh to see Him face to face in the mirror…
Do you follow just the saviour, the one who you think will save you from hell and is preparing you a big house in the sky?
Do you follow just the shepherd, that feeds you when your hungry and the only time you talk to him is just before your meals?
Do you follow just the man, who shows you how to be a “good” person?
Do you just follow the “lover of your soul”, who makes you feel good and gives you nice material blessings and fuzzy warm feelings?
OR…
Do you follow the real Jesus, who suffered in life and death, rose again so that you could also suffer in life and die to sin and raise to new life?
Do we see Christ in the mirror? Or do we see our carnal self staring back at us? Are we looking in the right mirror, the word of God?
2 Corinthians 3:18 But we all with our face having been unveiled, having beheld the glory of the Lord in a mirror, are being changed into the same image from glory to glory, as from the Lord Spirit.
Luke 6:40 The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall be as his master.
Philippians 1:29 For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake;
